We inspect and sort everything
A trained team evaluates gear based on safety, condition, and usefulness.
Non-resellable gear is donated
Items that can’t be resold — but are still functional — go directly to nonprofit partners serving under-resourced communities.
Gear that cannot be reused is handled responsibly
We work to keep as much out of landfills as possible.
How GearGive Generates Impact
Access to Sports
The funding generated from resold gear helps offset the high cost of youth sports, expanding opportunities for kids who otherwise couldn’t participate.
Support for Nonprofits
We partner with community organizations that provide equipment, coaching, and inclusive programming.
Environmental Sustainability
Sports equipment is difficult to recycle — much of it ends up in landfills. GearGive keeps quality gear in circulation and promotes reuse.
Stronger Communities
Schools, municipalities, and youth programs can raise money with zero costs, while families declutter responsibly.
Common Questions
What gear do you accept?
GearGive accepts gently used equipment that is ideally no more than five years old or has a “new” retail value of $50 or more. Equipment should be in good working condition.
We are most interested in baseball/softball, hockey, lacrosse, tennis and golf gear. To see the full list of items we are looking for click here.
How much impact does donated gear actually make?
GearGive contributes a percentage of the resale value of all items collected that will be resold. Fundraisers can raise thousands of dollars in just a one or two day collection drive without you having to ask anyone for money.
Does GearGive charge anything?
GearGive will never charge a dollar. We provide all the materials you will need for your collection drive and will cover any transportation or shipping costs to get the gear to our warehouse. We are even willing and able to pick up your gear for you or in some cases run the actual collection drive for you!
How can this help our program?
Whether you are looking to raise money for scholarships, new uniforms, transportation or just in need of unrestricted funds, this is a great painless way to bring in much needed funding to your program
What happens to gear that isn’t resellable?
All gear that does not meet our resale standards will either be recycled or donated to a local charity helping kids in need get access to the gear they need to enjoy both the mental and physical benefits that youth sports participation have to offer.
